About the Project

FEEL is a next-generation dating app, created as a response to frustrations with the superficial nature of traditional platforms. The project was born out of a vision to create a space where people can have real, quality relationships – without haste, without superficiality and without the pressure of mass selection.
In a world where dating apps boil down to mechanical photo swiping and fighting for attention, FEEL offers something fundamentally different – a match based on relationship psychology, emotional, spiritual and physical compatibility. This is not another Tinder. It’s an app for emotionally conscious people, tired of superficiality and ready to invest in quality relationships.
The client came to us with a comprehensive vision for the project – from creating a visual identity and logo, to designing the entire UX/UI in Figma, to developing the mobile app in React Native with an advanced matching algorithm. We implemented the project in the latest technology standards, building the app for iOS and Android with a premium subscription model and a backend on Supabase.

Expectations

The main goal of the project was to create a comprehensive dating app that is fundamentally different from the competition and appeals to an emotionally aware target audience. The client expected a solution that would:

  1. Based on quality, not quantity, the app is designed to eliminate mechanical swipes and the pressure of mass selection. Instead of hundreds of profiles, users receive carefully tailored suggestions based on deep compatibility analysis.
  2. Equipped with an advanced matching algorithm – the system is expected to analyze the emotional, spiritual and physical compatibility of users, using relationship psychology to create meaningful connections.
  3. Visually unique and elegant – the corporate identity, logo and overall design are meant to evoke a sense of curiosity, security and modern elegance. The design is supposed to “attract, but not shout.” – subtle excitement, calmness, intimacy.
  4. With a premium subscription model – the app is expected to offer a premium version with additional features, targeting users willing to pay for quality, not quantity.
  5. Focused on user experience – intuitive interface, pleasant to use, without the frustrations typical of other dating apps. Users are supposed to feel comfortable and emotionally safe.
  6. Available on iOS and Android – the app must run smoothly on both platforms in the latest technology standards.
  7. Built on modern stack – React Native, Supabase, latest mobile development best practices.

Challenges

Traditional dating apps have faced the same problems for years, creating frustrating experiences for users looking for real relationships. We’ve identified key market challenges:
  • Superficiality and “swipe culture” – most dating apps reduce people to photos and short bio’s. Mechanical swiping creates a sense that one is looking for a product on the shelf, not a relationship partner.
  • Pressure of quantity over quality – traditional apps’ algorithms maximize the time spent in the app, not the quality of matches. Users scroll through hundreds of profiles, feeling overwhelmed by the choices and disappointed by the quality of the connections.
  • Lack of deep matching – most apps match people based on location, age and a few superficial preferences. They don’t consider emotional, spiritual or psychological compatibility.
  • User fatigue – emotionally aware people looking for serious relationships are tired of the superficial nature of Tinder and similar platforms. They feel there is no space for them in the current ecosystem of dating apps.
  • Emotional insecurity – users often feel judged solely by their appearance, which creates insecurity and reduces the quality of interactions. There is a lack of an application that builds a sense of security and authenticity.

Project Process

We started with in-depth market research of dating apps, competitor analysis (Tinder, Bumble, Hinge) and understanding the frustrations of the target audience – 23-48 year olds, emotionally aware, tired of superficiality. We defined brand values: authenticity, quality, trust, depth of relationships, intentionality.
We created a comprehensive visual identity that captures the spirit of FEEL – authenticity, modernity, elegance. The logo symbolizes relationships, pulse, “life”, subtle movement. It is recognizable, soft, but modern – not aggressive, not infantile. The color scheme and typography evoke curiosity, security, calmness and subtle excitement.
We designed the full application interface with a focus on the emotional comfort of the user. We eliminate swipe mechanics, design an onboarding process that helps the algorithm understand the user, and create a space for authentic profiles. All with attention to subtlety, elegance and intuitiveness.
We built the application in React Native with a backend on Supabase. The key element was an advanced matching algorithm that analyzes the emotional, spiritual and physical compatibility of users. We implemented the premium subscription model, profile system, communication and all functionality according to the latest standards.
We conducted intensive testing of functionality, algorithm, user experience and performance. We prepared the app for the approval process in the App Store and Google Play, as well as the launch strategy.

    We created a comprehensive visual identity for FEEL from scratch, which is fundamentally different from the aggressive, colorful branding typical of dating apps. The logo symbolizes pulse, life and subtle movement – it is elegant, modern and recognizable. The color scheme, typography and all visual elements evoke a sense of curiosity, security and intimacy. It’s branding that appeals to an emotionally conscious target audience and sets FEEL apart from Tinder, Bumble or Hinge.
  2. Advanced user matching algorithm

    We have implemented an advanced algorithm that analyzes users’ emotional, spiritual and physical compatibility based on relationship psychology. Instead of mechanically matching by age and location, the system deeply understands users’ values, emotional needs, communication style and life goals. The algorithm learns from interactions and gets better and better at suggesting meaningful connections. This is the heart of FEEL – technology that truly understands relationships.
  3. UX without swiping - focus on quality

    We designed an interface that eliminates the frustrating mechanics of swiping and the pressure of mass selection. Users receive thoughtful match suggestions with deep profiles that allow them to get to know a person before they decide to contact them. The profiling and onboarding process helps the algorithm understand the user on a level that other apps don’t reach. This is designing for people looking for relationships, not entertainment.
  4. Premium model with features for the discerning

    We have implemented a premium subscription model that addresses users willing to pay for quality, not quantity. The premium version offers advanced matching features, priority in the algorithm, additional communication tools and insights about compatibility. This is not a paywall blocking basic features – it’s an added value for people who are serious about finding a partner.
  5. Modern technology stack

    We built the app in React Native with a backend on Supabase, which ensures cross-platform performance (iOS + Android), scalability, real-time functionality and data security. We used the latest mobile development standards, best practices in app architecture and modern tools for state management, API communication and user authentication. The app is ready for rapid development and addition of new functionality.
  6. Design System in Figma

    We designed a comprehensive design system in Figma that ensures visual consistency on every screen of the application. From UI components, typography, colors, icons, to interactions and animations, everything is well thought out and documented.
